Meet the maker
THE MAN.
THE KNOTS.
THE RUINER.
Rob makes hand-tied tie-dye in Blacksburg, South Carolina. Big color, strange little details, and a whole lot of time at the dye table.
ABOUT THE MAKER
Ruined By Rob starts with Rob, a shirt, and an idea. Every piece gets physically folded, tied, and dyed by hand using traditional tie-dye techniques.
Sometimes the idea is a creature. Sometimes it’s a color combination you can’t get out of your head. The fun is in watching those knots turn into something you can actually wear.
“Ruined by hand.
Made to stand out.”
WHAT MAKES HAND-TIED TIE-DYE DIFFERENT?
The ties do real work. Each fold and binding controls where the dye can travel. Open it up and you get patterns built into the fabric, with variations that belong to that one shirt.
No two pieces come out exactly the same. Rob can explore a pattern again, but the next shirt has its own details.
FROM BLACKSBURG TO YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE
Rob works from Blacksburg in Cherokee County, serving people in Gaffney, Upstate South Carolina, and the wider Carolinas through direct requests. Ask him about shipping, possible handoffs, or any upcoming markets, pop-ups, and festival appearances.
There is no confirmed public storefront or event calendar listed here. The best way to catch up with Rob is to send him your idea.

Before the color: the ties that make it happen.

Every finished piece starts somewhere.
For the beautifully feral
GOOD PEOPLE.
LOUD COLOR.
BEAUTIFUL RUIN.
Kandi on your wrists. A questionable totem. The bass you can still feel back at camp.
This is the world behind the color: neon in the ruins, fire spinning after dark, ground score stories, and a little wook nonsense with your favorite people. Rob brings that energy to the dye table.

Current scene: Haunted Ruins. Forest nights, strange creatures, and a little beautiful chaos.
Favorite festivals, not an appearance schedule.
